The UIST2.0 events

This web site contains material created for and collected during UIST's 20th anniversary celebration, which took place in 2007 in Newport (RI), namely:

The UIST archive, which contains all UIST papers and technotes, with pointers to the full-text PDF files in the ACM Digital Library, as well as a large collection of UIST videos and UIST adjunct proceedings;

Interviews with “UIST pioneers” Bill Buxton, Jim Foley, Mark Green, Scott Hudson, Brad Myers, Dan Olsen and John Sibert, plus a 4-minute video overview;

Interactive Thread contributions from UIST '07 attendees, including research ideas that inspired them and their reflections on the future of UIST;

ZUIST, a zoomable user interface that allowed UIST'07 attendees to dive into the UIST archives on a large Smart Technologies interactive screen; and

Posters that present a view of the UIST community through the UIST co-authorship network and a view of UIST's impact through UIST's most cited papers and UIST's h-index.

Some of this material was included on the UIST 2007 conference DVD (archive and interviews), some was presented only at the conference (interview trailer, ZUIST interface, posters), some was created on-site by the audience itself (interactive thread). We hope you will enjoy finding it all together here, to remind you of UIST'07 in Newport if you were there, or as a peek into what you missed if you could not attend.
