Registration Information

Registration is now open!  Visit our registration site to register before October 24th for the best remaining rates (see below for a rate summary).  

Note: If you have already separately registered for ICMI'03 and would now like to register for UIST (and receive the dual-registration discout), please contact ACM Member Services at:  1-800-342-6626 (US and Canada), +1 212 626-0500 (global) or acmhelp@acm.org.

Please note that in addition to all UIST events, UIST attendees can also pre-purchase a copy of the ICMI-PUI proceedings.  If you'd like such a copy, be sure to sign up for it now, since few extra copies will be printed.  Also, if you're planning to stay in Vancouver Wednesday evening, you may wish to attend the reception and demo night held at the University of British Columbia (this is separate from Tuesday night's conference demo program); the registration fee partially offsets the costs of transportation to and from the campus.

Conference Schedule

UIST 2003 pre-conference activities will occur on Sunday, November 2nd.  These include the Doctoral Symposium.  All attendees are invited to a Sunday night opening reception which will include posters from the Doctoral Symposium.

Monday, November 3rd, will open with a keynote address by Ben Shneiderman, followed by technical sessions.  There will be a conference banquet Monday evening.

Tuesday, November 4th, will include technical sessions, invited surveys, and our Tuesday evening Demo reception.

Wednesday, November 5th, will be a joint day with ICMI-PUI.  We will start with a keynote address by Sandra Marshall, and then have a mix of UIST and ICMI paper presentations.  That day we will have a special joint lunch and poster session.  The last session will end between 5 and 6pm.  For those staying that night, UBC is hosting a visit to their facilities and demonstration of their work.  Please register for this event as part of your conference registration.  The $10 fee partially offsets transportation and food costs.
