The UIST 2024 Conference Committee, in consultation with numerous members of the UIST community and past leadership, has decided upon the following approach to conference participation:
UIST 2024 will be primarily organized around two tracks across three full days Monday through Wednesday, kicking off with the Welcome Reception on Sunday evening. The engaging Demo Reception will be held on Monday evening, and the festive Banquet on Tuesday evening.

A block of rooms have been reserved for UIST attendees at the conference hotel, The Westin Pittsburgh.
The discounted conference rate is $249/night plus taxes and fees, available on a ‘first-come-first-served’ basis.
Reservations must be made by September 10th.
The hotel will provide full refunds for cancellations up to 72 hours in advance of your stay.

The Association for Computing Machinery does not issue formal invitation letters for visas to attend ACM sponsored conferences. However, you can request a Visa Support Letter from ACM: https://supportletters.acm.org/ ACM is able to provide visa support letters to registered attendees, authors and speakers with accepted papers/posters/talks, and conference committee members. In recognition of Dr. Gary Marsden’s contributions and inspiration, SIGCHI established the Gary Marsden Travel Awards (GMTA) to support its members in attending ACM SIGCHI conferences. Those eligible to apply are undergraduate and graduate students, early-career researchers (such as those who are ≤ 5 years post-graduation), and those experiencing financial hardship or lacking institutional support.

Please apply through this form, by Thursday September 19th. We will only use the documents to verify your eligibility to receive travel funding. It will be reviewed in confidence and only shared with corresponding chairs of UIST 2024 (diversity & general chairs).
